The research focuses on the following key issues: the differences in developers pricing decisions under the presence or absence of fairness concerns; the impact of fairness concerns on the selection of pre-sales service quality; the moderating effect of fairness concerns on product sales prices when customer companies price sensitivity changes; and the impact of fairness concerns on software product demand, extended warranty service demand, and overall supply chain performance.

The main conclusions of the study include: developers fairness concerns are conducive to expanding the demand for software products and extended warranty services to a certain extent, and prompt them to reduce the suggested retail price of products and the price of extended warranty services; however, fairness concerns will incentivize service integrators to reduce the quality of pre-sales services, thus having a significant negative impact on the sales volume of software products; when customer companies are less sensitive to price (or more sensitive), the product sales price under the fairness concern scenario is lower (or higher) than that under the no fairness concern scenario; overall, developers fairness concerns will lead to a shrinking of the software product and service market, which in turn will reduce the profits of supply chain members and the performance of the software service supply chain system.
